Role Overview

HPE's Datacenter Networking team is looking for entry-level software engineers with a strong interest in cloud-native products, distributed systems, DevOps, and large-scale automation tools such as AI agents and copilots.

As a Software Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software solutions while working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software applications and features.
• Build and maintain cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
• Develop networking utilities, databases, and internet-related tools.
• Write high-quality, scalable, and testable code.
• Create automated test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with REST and gRPC APIs.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve customer problems.
• Contribute to automation and monitoring frameworks.
• Learn and support large-scale software and hardware systems.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience, including internships, academic projects, or co-op programs.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages:
• Python
• Golang
• Java
• C
• C++

Required Skills

• Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of microservices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenStack, VMware, or KVM.
• Understanding of Docker, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Exposure to Ansible, Helm, or Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Understanding of REST and gRPC APIs.
• Interest in observability, debugging, and monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and AI agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with LangChain and FastAPI.
• Exposure to MLOps and AIOps tools such as:
• SageMaker
• Databricks
• Azure ML
• MLflow
• Knowledge of GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and Argo Workflows.
